TheNoseAlwaysKnows: Reviews from a Perfume Addict

Hi there!  My name is Jessica, or The Nose, if you will.  You may know me from my other blog (Not So) Bored in Arizona, but now I’m back…. to share an even bigger, darn near life long passion of mine…………. PERFUME!  When I was younger, I could always remember when somebody would walk by me, and their perfume/cologne lingered in the air….. I thought it was the coolest thing.  Now, I can proudly say – I’m one of those people!

I started my collection in my early teen years, collecting things like cotton candy body spray and other disaster fragrances that I’d never touch my skin with today.  Now – I have over 100 designer bottles stacked away in their own book case, in their own bedroom.   Call me crazy, but this is my thing.  Everybody has a thing!  I’m just lucky enough to have my thing make me smell wonderful!!!

Now, here’s the downfall to all of this… no matter where I go, there is always somebody who wants to know what I’m wearing, because they want to smell like me.  Being the person I am, I will ALWAYS lie.  So please remember that if you ever see me and ask what perfume I’m wearing – whatever comes out of my mouth after that will NOT be the truth.  I’m just weird like that.  So, aside from my passion for perfume, the guilt from lying to people for years has prompted me to write about the scents I own, the ones I love, what they smell like, and where you can buy them.  I figured this was the option for me, because now I can just tell people to look at my blog rather than tell them what I’m actually wearing at the time.

Here’s a little bit of info that will be helpful for you when reading about my selections…. and probably the most important two things.  1 – Just because I like something doesn’t mean you will.  Different strokes for different folks, right? I’m just about as eclectic with my perfume as I am with my music.  2 – Just because something smells good on me doesn’t mean it will smell the same on you.  We all have a different body chemistry,  so perfumes will tend to smell different on certain people.
